ACTON CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
This place is AMAZING! Newly renovated & extended, this place is the BEST pastime in town for anyone with kiddos! Full of enrichment opportunities for toddlers to tweens alike, you could spend the greater part of the day exploring every nook and cranny of this fun-filled museum! Pack a lunch and sit outside at the picnic tables, watch your children explore the fairy garden style playgrounds and GIGANTIC tree house! THE ACTON ARBORETUM
This place is an amazing garden oasis! Rivaling some of the much bigger arboretums, this place has an amazing array of flowers & large diversity of shrubs and flowering trees. Beautifully peppered with walking trails, little bridges, benches and rock structures it is the perfect place to spend a few hours walking around and taking in the wonders nature has to offer. In the spring the pink and white blossoms are absolutely stunning and so worthy of a visit!
SILVER UNICORN BOOK STORE
Do you love reading? Do you still crave the sound of flipping the page, or that new book smell? Check out this little book store! (And by little I mean not, it’s much larger than it looks!) A nice variety of books, and the employees are always kind and helpful! I love supporting this small town bookstore & checking out what new books they have periodically. If you are looking for things to do in Acton Ma definitely make time to peruse the aisles at this local bookstore!
TRUE WEST BREWERY
A brewery is always a fun time! This local town brewery is a popular option for both a beer and to grab a bite. They boast a locally sourced kitchen, making everything from scratch! And the beer goes right from tap to your glass… does it get any better than that?! Definitely a recommendation on the list of things to do in Acton ma.
THE BRUCE FREEMAN TRAIL
Biking, walking, jogging, skateboarding, and more! This rail trail expands 25 miles over 8 different towns and runs right through Acton ma.There are crosswalks with flashing pedestrian lights to warn cars of pedestrians and walkers at crosswalks, and long stretches of just paved trail. A great & safe paved trail to explore, especially if you would like to take small kiddos biking. A fun afternoon on the list of things to do Acton ma for sure!
NARA PARK
A large paved loop that connects to the Bruce Freeman Trail makes this park a GREAT place for anyone with kiddos and babies to check out! Strollers are easily pushed through the paved loop track, peppered with benches and picnic tables to rest and eat. A large playground for kiddos, as well as a beach area that is open in the summer days. There is an amphitheater/pavilion that holds many events and concerts during the summer, so be sure to check out their website. All in all, a great day of outdoors fun in things to do in Acton ma.
