The New Mother Support group is open to all new moms who have children up to six months of age and are looking to meet and connect with other North Shore moms! A great way to find your support group, bounce ideas off each other & connect with other parents in the same boat as you. This group will be facilitated by an OB/GYN nurse and will guide group to help moms to discuss challenges, baby milestones and support each other

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUP

The Birthplace Salem hospital labor and delivery offers a breastfeeding support group every Friday from 10:00am-11:00am. This is very convenient for new parents as they are held via zoom! This is specially great for moms who would like to connect mama-to-mama. Meet with other moms who are going through the same breastfeeding journey with its struggles & triumphs. Here is also a safe space to ask questions and get answers for anything you may be struggling with in your breastfeeding journey.

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION CLASSES

Our Childbirth Education classes include Prepared Childbirth and Newborn Education, Breastfeeding Your Baby and Infant and Child CPR. Classes are offered virtually and in person, for the parents to be & new parents convenience. As mentioned before, there are breastfeeding support classes for all those new mamas. The childbirth classes & newborn education will help prepare you for your pregnancy journey leading up to your birth. Also how to care for your newborn in the days leading following your delivery. Also offered are infant & child CPR classes. As your little one grows & starts the phase of putting everything in their mouth, you will get the peace of mind of properly knowing how to give your infant & child CPR.
